Corona's active cases have slipped below 172,000. The total cases of cured, active cases and deaths are 96.94%, 1.62% and 1.44% respectively. On Friday, the government-run Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said it had tested 742,306 samples for Kovid as of 28 January, thus taking the total number of samples tested so far to 195,081,079. India currently launched the world's largest vaccination campaign against Covid-19 on 16 January. Altogether 2,928,053 health workers have been vaccinated so far, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health. Covaxin of Oxford University-AstraZeneca Covishield and Bharat Biotech International Limited are being used in India. Both vaccines have been approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) earlier this month.,
