This article provides a general overview and documents the status of locations affected by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus which causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and is responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic. The first human cases of COVID-19 were identified in Wuhan, the capital of the province of Hubei in China in December 2019. The most recent country or territory to report its first confirmed case was the Federated States of Micronesia on 8 January 2021.[5]

    1. From 29 July to 24 November 2020, the Ministry of Health did not publish the total number of positive cases. Instead, symptomatic coronavirus cases were shown as "patients".[28][29] The ministry began to report the daily numbers of previously unreported cases on 25 November, announced the total number of cases in the country on 10 December and started to include asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic cases (who are usually considered recovered after 10 days of isolation[30]) in the number of recoveries on 12 December.

    1. On 17 July 2020, Quebec, Canada, revised its criteria on recoveries. The Institut national de santé publique claims that "the previous method resulted in 'significant underestimations' of recovered cases."[51]This change resulted in a drop of active cases nationwide, from a total of 27,603 on 16 July to 4,058 on 17 July.[52]

The Chilean Ministry of Health considered all cases as "recovered" after 14 days since the initial symptoms of the virus, regardless of the health situation of the infected or if succeeding tests indicate the continuing presence of the virus. The only exceptions are casualties, which are not included as recovered.[54]
    3. Deaths include only cases with positive PCR tests and catalogued as a "COVID-19 related death" by the Civil Registry and Identification Service. This number is indicated in the daily reports of the Ministry of Health. A report with the total number of deaths, including suspected cases without PCR test, is released at least weekly since 20 June 2020.[55] In the latest report (19 March 2021), the total number of deaths is 29,540.[56]
  18. ^ Belgium
    1. The number of deaths also includes untested cases and cases in retirement homes that presumably died because of COVID-19, whilst most countries only include deaths of tested cases in hospitals.[59]

      • As of 24 March 2020, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health estimates that between 7,120 and 23,140 Norwegians are infected with the coronavirus.[150]

, पंजाब में कोरोना से 11 की मौत, 595 पॉजिटिव मिले, मोहाली समेत नौ जिलों में हालत चिंताजनक By समाजसेवी वनिता कासनियां पंजाबसारएक हफ्ते में संक्रमितों की संख्या में 50 फीसदी से ज्यादा की बढ़ोतरी जालंधर के बीएसएफ कैंपस में बनाया गया माइक्रो कंटेनमेंट जोनस्वास्थ्य विभाग रोज ले रहा 27 हजार नमूने, 2.5% हुई कोरोना दर17 फरवरी के बाद से पंजाब में तेजी से संक्रमण फैलने लगा है। नौ जिलों में संक्रमण अन्य जिलों की अपेक्षा ज्यादा तेजी से बढ़ा है। इनमें लुधियाना, जालंधर, पटियाला, मोहाली, अमृतसर, होशियारपुर, कपूरथला, गुरदासपुर और नवांशहर शामिल हैं। यहां रोज 50 से ज्यादा संक्रमित सामने आ रहे हैं। स्वास्थ्य विभाग भी बढ़ते संक्रमण को लेकर चिंतित है। यह देखते हुए एहतियातन माइक्रो कंटेनमेंट जोन बनाए जा रहे हैं। जालंधर के बीएसएफ कैंपस में भी एक माइक्रो कंटेनमेंट जोन बनाया गया है। इसके साथ ही स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने जांच 20 हजार से बढ़ाकर 27 हजार कर दी है। इसके अलावा संक्रमण से सबसे प्रभावित जिलों के डीसी को कोरोना संबंधी दिशा-निर्देशों का सख्ती से पालन कराने का निर्देश दिया गया है। 11 की मौत, 595 नए मामले मिलेपंजाब में शनिवार को 595 संक्रमण के नए मामले सामने आए हैं। जालंधर में सबसे अधिक 70 संक्रमण के मामले आए। वहीं, राज्य में 11 लोगों की मौत भी हुई है। इनमें होशियारपुर में चार, लुधियाना में तीन, पटियाला में दो, मानसा में एक, तरनतारन में एक शामिल है। अब तक पंजाब में 5825 लोगों की संक्रमण से मौत हो चुकी है, जबकि इस समय सक्रिय मामलों का आंकड़ा 4436 है।

करोड़ की संख्या तक ले जाना है। जो बुजुर्ग हैं, जो गंभीर बीमारी से ग्रस्त हैं, उन्हें इस चरण में टीका लगेगा। आप कल्पना कर सकते हैं, 30 करोड़ की आबादी से ऊपर के दुनिया के सिर्फ तीन ही देश हैं- खुद भारत, चीन और अमेरिका ।भारत के वैक्सीन वैज्ञानिक, हमारा मेडिकल सिस्टम, भारत की प्रक्रिया की पूरे विश्व में बहुत विश्वसनीयता है। हमने ये विश्वास अपने ट्रैक रिकॉर्ड से हासिल किया है ।कोरोना से हमारी लड़ाई था। पिछले साल आज का ही दिन था जब हमने बाकायदा सर्विलांस शुरु कर दिया था ।17 जनवरी, 2020 वो तारीख थी, जब भारत ने अपनी पहली एडवायजरी जारी कर दी थी। भारत दुनिया के उन पहले देशों में से था जिसने अपने एयरपोर्ट्स पर यात्रियों की स्क्रीनिंग शुरू कर दी थी ।जनता कर्फ्यू, कोरोना के विरुद्ध हमारे समाज के संयम और अनुशासन का भी परीक्षण था, जिसमें हर देशवासी सफल हुआ। जनता कर्फ्यू ने देश को मनोवैज्ञानिक रूप से लॉकडाउन के लिए तैयार किया। हमने ताली-थाली और दीए जलाकर, देश के आत्मविश्वास को ऊंचा रखा ।ऐसे समय में जब कुछ देशों ने अपने नागरिकों को चीन में बढ़ते कोरोना के बीच छोड़ दिया था, तब भारत, चीन में फंसे हर भारतीय को वापस लेकर आया। और सिर्फ भारत के ही नहीं, हम कई दूसरे देशों के नागरिकों को भी वहां से वापस निकालकर लाए ।मुझे याद है, एक देश में जब भारतीयों को टेस्ट करने के लिए मशीनें कम पड़ रहीं थीं तो भारत ने पूरी लैब भेज दी थी ताकि वहां से भारत आ रहे लोगों को टेस्टिंग की दिक्कत ना हो । हम दूसरों के काम आएं, ये निश्वार्थ भाव हमारे भीतर रहना चाहिए। राष्ट्र सिर्फ मिट्टी, पानी, कंकड़, पत्थर से नहीं बनता। बल्कि राष्ट्र का मतलब होता है हमारे लोग। संकट कितना भी बड़ा क्यों न हो, देश वासियों ने कभी आत्मविश्वास खोया नहीं। जब भारत में कोरेाना पहुंचा तब देश में कोरोना टेस्टिंग की एक ही लैब थी, हमने अपने सामर्थ्य पर विश्वास रखा और आज 2,300 से ज्यादा नेटवर्क हमारे पास है।भारत ने इस महामारी से जिस प्रकार से मुकाबला किया उसका लोहा आज पूरी दुनिया मान रही है। केंद्र और राज्य सरकारें, स्थानीय निकाय, हर पुलिस कर्मी और फ्रंटलाइन वर्कर्स, इन्होंने मानवता के प्रति अपने दायित्व को प्राथमिकता दी। इनमें से अधिकांश तब अपने बच्चों, अपने परिवार से दूर रहे।आज जब हमने वैक्सीन बना ली है, तब भी भारत की तरफ दुनिया आशा और उम्मीद की नजरों से देख रही है। जैसे जैसे हमारा टीकाकरण अभियान आगे बढ़ेगा, दुनिया के अनेक देशों को हमारे अनुभव का लाभ मिलेगा।जानिए देशभर की रिपोर्ट...मध्य प्रदेश: मध्य प्रदेश में शनिवार को पहला टीका जेपी अस्पताल में तैनात सुरक्षा गार्ड को लगाया जाएगा, जबकि इंदौर जिले में पहला टीका एक महिला स्वास्थ्य कर्मी को लगाया जाएगा। प्रदेशभर में 150 सेंटर्स बनाए गए हैं। यहां सबसे पहले फ्रंट लाइन वर्कर्स को टीके लगाए जाएंगे। प्रत्येक सेंटर पर 100 वॉरियर्स को टीका लगाया जाएगा। यानी पहले दिन प्रदेश में 15 हजार लोगों को वैक्सीन का पहला डोज दिया जाएगा। मध्य प्रदेश पहले दिन सबसे ज्यादा डोज लगाने वाले टॉप-10 राज्यों में शामिल है।राजस्थान: राजस्थान में पहला टीका जयपुर के एसएमएस मेडिकल कॉलेज के प्राचार्य डॉ. सुधीर भंडारी को लगाया जाएगा। मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत शनिवार को अपने आवास से टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम की औपचारिक शुरूआत करेंगे। चिकित्सा मंत्री डॉ. रघु शर्मा ने बताया कि राज्य में 161 स्थलों के अतिरिक्त जयपुर जिले के छह स्थलों पर भी टीकाकरण होगा। 13 जनवरी तक राजस्थान को टीके की दो कंपनियों से करीब 5 लाख 63 हजार खुराक प्राप्त हुए हैं, जिसमें कोविशील्?ड के 4,43,000 और कोवैक्सीन की 20,000 खुराक शामिल हैं। कोविन सॉफ्टवेयर में राज्य के छह लाख से अधिक लाभार्थियों का डेटा 14 जनवरी की शाम तक अपलोड किया जा चुका है।गुजरात: अहमदाबाद और गांधीनगर में सरकारी अस्पतालों के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक शनिवार को गुजरात में कोरोनावायरस का टीका सबसे पहले लगवाने वाले लोगों में शामिल होंगे। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि राष्ट्रव्यापी टीकाकरण अभियान शुरू होने पर दिन के दौरान राज्य में 16 हजार से अधिक स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को टीका लगाया जाएगा। टीकाकरण अभियान शनिवार की सुबह पूरे राज्य में 161 केन्द्रों पर एक साथ शुरू होगा। पहले दिन 16 हजार से अधिक स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को टीका लगाया जाएगा। पहले चरण के लिए गुजरात स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने 4.31 लाख स्वास्थ्य कर्मचारियों की पहचान की है, जिनमें डॉक्टर और नर्स शामिल हैं। टीकाकरण कार्य के लिए लगभग 15,000 कर्मियों को प्रशिक्षित किया है।झारखंड: झारखंड के 48 केंद्रों पर कोरोना का टीका दिया जाएगा। रांची के सदर अस्पताल में बनाए गए टीकाकरण केंद्र से मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन राज्य में टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ करेंगे। केंद्र में मुख्यमंत्री टीका लेने वालों से बात भी करेंगे।सभी जिलों में शनिवार को पहले दिन दो केंद्रों पर टीके की लांचिंग होगी। इसमें राज्यभर में 4800 लोगों को टीका देने का लक्ष्य है। बाद के दिनों में टीका लेने वालों की संख्या में इजाफा किया जाएगा।छत्तीसगढ़: छत्तीसगढ़ में 2.67 लाख स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों और अग्रिम मोर्चे के कर्मियों को टीकाकरण के लिए तैयारी पूरी कर ली गई है। राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन की संचालक डॉक्टर प्रियंका शुक्ला ने बताया कि राज्य में टीकाकरण की तैयारी पूरी कर ली गई है। 16 जनवरी से 97 टीकाकरण केंद्रों में टीकाकरण अभियान शुरू होगा। राज्य में सबसे पहले रायपुर स्थित डॉक्टर भीमराव अंबेडकर अस्पताल में महिला स्वच्छताकर्मी 51 साल की तुलसा तांडी को टीका लगाया जाएगा। 1,349 टीकाकरण केंद्र बनाए गए हैं।यूपी: यूपी में 10 लाख 55 हजार 500 कोविशील्ड और 20,000 कोवैक्सीन के टीके मिल चुके हैं। प्रदेश के 8 लाख 57 हजार हेल्थ वर्कर्स के नाम सूचीबद्ध किए गए हैं। कोल्ड चेन पूरी तरह तैयार हैं। पहले इसकी क्षमता 80,000 लीटर थी, लेकिन इसे बढ़ाते हुए 2 लाख 3 हजार लीटर कर दी गई है। प्रदेश में 317 केंद्रों पर यह वैक्सीन लगाई जाएगी। हर केंद्र पर 100-100 लोगों को वैक्सीन लगाई जाएगी। इसके लिए 5-5 सदस्यों की टीम बनाकर स्वाथ्य कर्मियों को टीका लगाया जाएगा। इसकी दूसरी डोज 28 दिन बाद लगाई जाएगी। विभाग ने वी-विन शील्ड बनाई है। इसे पहन कर ही सभी कर्मी वैक्सीन लगाने का काम करेंगे।बिहार: बिहार में मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार की उपस्थिति में आईजीआईएमएस में सुबह 10.45 बजे टीका लगाने की शुरूआत होगी। राज्य में पहले दिन 30 हजार रजिस्टर्ड लोगों को टीका दिया जाएगा। पहला टीका आईजीआईएमएस के सफाईकर्मी रामबाबू और दूसरा टीका इसी अस्पताल के एंबुलेंस चालक अमित कुमार को दिया जाएगा। टीकाकरण के लिए राज्य में 300 सेंटर बनाए गए हैं, जहां प्रतिदिन 100 निबंधित लोगों का टीकाकरण होगा। राज्य में चार लाख 64 हजार 160 लोगों का टीकाकरण के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन किया जा चुका है। राज्य में कुल 300 सेंटरों पर टीकाकरण होगा, जिसमें 259 सेंटर सरकारी जबकि 41 निजी सेंटरों पर टीकाकरण होगा।उत्तराखंड: उत्तराखंड के 33 स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में शनिवार से कोविड 19 वैक्सीन टीकाकरण शुरू हो जाएगा। बड़े जिलों में चार-चार केंद्रों तो छोटे जिलों में दो से तीन केंद्रों में टीकाकरण अभियान शुरू होगा। देहरादून, हरिद्वार, यूएसनगर, नैनीताल के स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में चार चार जगह टीकाकरण होगा। इसके अलावा पहाड़ के दूसरे जिलों में स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में दो से तीन जगह टीकाकरण होगा। करीब 87 हजार फ्रंट लाइन हेल्थ वर्कर का टीकाकरण होगा। राज्य को केंद्र से 1.13 लाख वैक्सीन मिली हैं।पंजाब-हरियाणा: टीकाकरण अभियान के लिए पंजाब में 59 और हरियाणा में 77 स्थान निर्धारित किए गए हैं। पंजाब को कोविड-19 टीके की 2.04 लाख खुराक, जबकि हरियाणा को 2.41 लाख खुराकों की खेप दी गयी है। पंजाब में करीब 1.74 लाख स्वास्थ्यकर्मी हैं। हफ्ते में चार दिन टीके दिए जाएंगे। पंजाब के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री बलबीर सिंह सिद्धू ने कहा कि कोविन साइट पर जिन लोगों का नाम होगा, उन्हें ही टीके की खुराक दी जाएगी। हरियाणा में करीब दो लाख स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को टीके की खुराक दी जाएगी। चंडीगढ़ में चार स्थानों पर टीकाकरण होगा। चंडीगढ़ को टीके की 12,000 खुराकों की खेप मिल गई है।गोवा: गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि राज्य में कोविड-19 टीकाकरण अभियान के प्रथम दिन 16 जनवरी को करीब 700 स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों को टीका लगाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि टीकाकरण शुरूआत में सात केंद्रों पर होगा, जिनमें दो निजी केंद्र भी शामिल हैं। सात केंद्रों में से प्रत्येक पर कम से कम 100 स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों का टीकाकरण किया जाएगा। वहीं, गोवा मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल (जीएमसीएच) के डीन डॉ शिवानंद बांडेकर ने बताया कि प्रथम चरण में जीएमसीएच से
